Thats right, my brand new 5D Mark II arrived today and I am just thrilled with it so far!!! My other new toy (the canon 70-200 28 IS L) comes next week to complete my upgrade to the "pro" level. At only 18 and for having been doing this professionally for a year now I can honestly say that I have a natural talent for what I do. I have never taken one class in my life for photography or editing. I can just pick up a camera and shoot with a vision and deliver. So far I am completely amazed by what the new camera can do compared to Penelope (my 5D). The LCD screen is HUGE, I can shoot in LIVEmode, shoot video, the color and sharpness is amazing, and it feels so rugged and nice. I am excited to start using her this weekend at a few sessions and a party- she really did get here right in time!!!

Well I'm headed to bed now...I have been feeling really sick these past few days but today has been the worse, the only thing that made me get off the couch was to go to the door to meet the UPS guy for my camera. Night night bloggers! 

Yesterday I went back to work and the kiddos were all lined up for "photoshoots" I can't wait to be back and to have so many willing models at my disposal once again! The kids are all great and I often find myself swamped with parents asking for my business card and asking to purchase their child's pictures- its a great way to get my name out there! Here are a few shots from yesterday, enjoy!

I cannot even begin to describe what a joy it was getting to shoot pictures of Lucy and Ana this morning. From the moment I met them they were all smiles! Ana the older of the two took a little longer to warm up, but once mom and dad walked away I got them both laughing and singing and being silly for the entire rest of our session. We went many places and they both took direction so well that we got most of the posed shots out of the way and the rest of was all candid and more "day in the life" then a normal session. Mom and dad paid for a basic session but what I gave them was my newest, largest, session as a surprise! I am offering "all in one" packages now for those who don't want to figure in sitting fees and extra options, its just one flat fee for the entire session with no strings attached. I was waiting to do my secret giveaway and when I met this family I knew they were the lucky ones! Here are some shots from today:

I will be needing to do an official day in the life session very soon and am willing to do it at half cost for any family willing to let me come photograph you from 10am to 6pm. Everyone meet Gretel, the new addition to our home. Well actually, my room! LOL! My mom does not know about my new little pet yet. I have a feeling once she does Gretel will be on her way to a new home. Haha.
